Why won’t inside lens protector open on Olympus FE-210 digital Camera?

Its like when you turn it on 2 of these thing that are divided protect the lens, and when you turn it on they open so you can take pics.

Every time I try to use the camera it opens fine but then gradually closes within the time period of about 5 photos taken. Then it wont open back up for another coupe hours.

It hasn’t been dropped and was new as of December 07.

It’s really hard to tell what the cause is for weird and isolated camera problems. I assume the battery is charged and ready to go?

All Olympus cameras should come with a 1-year international warranty. I’d give Olympus a call.
