Fish eye Lens for My D40?

I was wondering if there is a fish eye i can get for my Nikon d40 for a reasonable price, how would i find out if a lens or accessory is compatible with my camera?

This depends on your idea of reasonable. Fisheye lenses are not exactly cheap. Here are some to look at. The Nikon would be the best choice. For the D40 you want one that is less than 15mm. You need a lens with a Nikon mount. If you want it to auto focus on your camera you also need a lens with a built in motor. It will say so in the specs. The Sigma lenses below have it. The Nikon one has it. The Tokina does not.
